Testing in high-pressure hydrogen was accredited
In the end of 2022 was in Laboratories of MMR accredited new test method focused on fracture behavior in high-pressure gaseous environment according to following standards:
- ČSN EN ISO 11114-4, methods B and C,
- ASME BVPC, Sect. VIII-čl. 3, KD-10,
- ASTM E1681.
Accreditation is the logical outcome of long-term effort of MMR in the field of research and development of test methods in high-pressure hydrogen environment. In addition to accredited test procedures the laboratory offers other tests focused on assessment of hydrogen embrittlement effect on material properties, namely fatigue test, fatigue crack growth rate, tensile test or exposure experiments of loaded specimens under gas pressure 30 MPa.
All tests are performed into patented hydrogen autoclaves, 0,5 l in volume, that were designed and produced in MMR and could be built to servohydraulic testing machine.
